Its fun, kinky & catchy! I'm glad she's finally got the train moving. Its been several months since the 1st promo for this video came out. There will obviously be some comparisons to Lady Gaga because she's coming from the same camp. But I really think she's setting out to be a different artist. Even if she wasn't, there's room for both. Good luck to her! Hopefully, more people will catch on, but the GOOD artists never get proper recognition...especially here in the US.

Ameriie is one of my FAVE artists, so I'm always excited to hear more material. I can't wait to see a video for this one! Hopefully, she gets the commercial success she deserves with Cymaticka Vol. 1!

I'm loving what Kesha is serving up audio-wise, but I really wish her visuals were more inspired. Not everyone can release mini-movies like Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, etc, but its ALWAYS a good idea to get creative and expand upon the concept of the song. We already know that Kesha is an Animal & now more specifically a Cannibal, but just prancing around in dirty clothes w/ a collection of oddly dressed friends & local freaks is getting a bit old after the 6th video (Tik Tok, Blah Blah Blah, Your Love is My Drug, Take it Off(2 versions) & now We R Who We R). With that being said, the song is hot & makes me want to dance.

Rihanna is back and 'Loud'

I have to admit that I am certainly not a HUGE fan, but I really do enjoy her music. Although, her albums seem to roll out a bit too often, I do appreciate her growth. I remember when I picked up her 1st album 'Music of the Sun', I don't think I ever listened to the 2nd half of the album. But as she's grown, I've come to really enjoy the music more & more. Even though it wasn't as commercially successful as her previous efforts, 'Rated R', in my opinion, was awesome. I loved the edgy look & sound. I could tell that she was really coming to her own. This album seems to only further that. I love the fact that she is returning to her Bajan roots on tracks like "Man Down" and "Cheers", but still giving fans the dance pop elements they expect on other tracks like singles"Only Girl in the World" and "What's My Name". All in all its a great pop record.

Lady Gaga 'Bad Romance'

 

 First Single from Lady Gaga's 'The Fame Monster' has been doing very well. As if anyone doubted it would... Great concept, great choreography...she really shines in this & totally proves she's here to stay! Can't wait to see what she can come up with next...

Amerie's In Love & War

Amerie's back with another one! everyone out there thats a fan knows that Amerie is CRIMINALLY slept on. In Love & War departs a bit from the old-school R&B flavors that Because I Love It had. But there's still a few of those elements left on tracks like Pretty Brown ft. Trey Songz. As with all the previous albums, its a solid album through & through that delves into rock, pop,  hip hop & r&b.  My fave tracks are: Higher, Swag Back & Heard Em All.

Rihanna 'Rated R'

I'm not sure where she'll end up on the charts, but she certainly delivered a solid effort this time around given the state of the economy & music industry. Rihanna delved a little deeper into the dark sound on this effort. Even has a bit of a potty mouth, lol. Overall, its a great album & she sounds better than ever. She gets plenty of promo from Def Jam unlike some of their other artists (see Amerie) so we'll certainly see. Track to check: Hard ft. Young Jeezy, Rockstar 101 ft.
